The only FIFA sanctioned indoor soccer game and the “game of choice” of United States Youth Soccer (USYS).

Futsal Rules

• Number four sized ball—30% less bounce
• Five players
• Kick-in
• Unlimited “flying” sub (nine players on team)
• Topped clock
• Twenty-minute halves
• One timeout per half
• Goal clearance—pass on the ground or throw that does not go beyond half
• No shoulder charges or sliding tackles
• Four-second rule on restarts
• No offside rule
• No restrictions, but limited to fourseconds on kick in and restarts
• Five foul limit—no wall for direct free kick after fifth foul
• Goalkeeper cannot touch by hand a ball kicked back from teammate
• One back pass to goalkeeper
• Player sent off can be substituted for after two minutes or other team has scored

What to Bring

• Two jersey colors
• Shin guards

Supervision/Insurance

Participants will be supervised during competition by the Futsal league staff. It should be noted that all participants are expected to carry their own medical insurance. Viterbo will also provide an excess comprehensive medical insurance plan for participants. This plan covers all athleticrelated accidents that your child may incur during competition subject to deductible and other conditions of the insurance plan.

Cost/Limits

• League Play: $65 per player
• 8 player minimum for each team, no maximum player
